Tatakai holds the Australian Martial Arts Association in high regard for many reasons. One of which is the accreditation and respect our First Dan and above Black Belts receive by grading through the Association after already performing these high gradings at Tatakai’s Dojo.

Sensei Roger Coole 7th Dan has been involved with the Australian Martial Arts Association for many years, joining shortly after they were formed over twenty years ago. Sensei Roger has also been an active committee member for a lot of this time. Assisting with the organising and sometimes hosting events that the A.M.A.A. regularly conduct such as Regional, State and National tournaments with the help and support of their members.

The Association also organises Training Days, Seminars, Judges and Referee courses for A, B and C class certificates. A considerable number of Association members have gained international recognition for Refereeing and Judging based upon the A.M.A.A.’s Accreditation which has enabled them to Judge and Referee tournaments in many countries. This international standard also carries over to their Black Belt and above gradings, grades awarded by the Australian Martial Arts Association have been recognised by several international bodies.
