The Australian Martial Arts Association is sanctioned by the Australian Boxing and Martial Arts Commission.
It is a not-for profit organization which means any money made goes back to the organization or can be donated to like minded organizations or given to charities.
The Australian Martial Arts Association is a non political organization in
the sense that its member clubs and associations are autonomous, which means they run
independent of and without interference from the A.M.A.A.
We also offer grade/ranks to those who go out on their own to start a club and are disaffected from their original association for various reasons. In this way good martial artists
are not lost because of their inability to grade/rank.
Neither do we have an exclusivity policy, we do not discourage Members from being affiliated with other Martial Arts organizations. On the contrary, this
encourages cross training within the Martial Arts which is what we are all about at the A.M.A.A.
It was created by Bill Vaughan Sensei, Joe Lamarca Sensei and
Karol Stojko Sensei for these specific reasons.
